  1. Reblogged this on nzidemybrane and commented:
He gave me a million gifts so it’s difficult to pick one! Part of why I started a blog cuz I’m trying to find loud outlets to help other people God gave the Gift of Depression… It took me 20 years to find that it is a Gift and not a Curse! Hope that I can help even just one person discover that sooner to avoid suffering and be able to embrace all the amazing beauty that comes with it!

  2. Hi Rae!

I think one gift I may have is to learn well from my mistakes and pass this knowledge on.

    Confucius said about learning –

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

I’ve learned so much from my mistakes that it’s helped me to notice when other people were doing the same. While I was working as a Test Technician, I enjoyed training new staff on how to use scientific instruments, but this is only one example. It’s the ability to analyse your mistakes that helps you to pass on what you’ve learned in a meaningful way and I thank God for it.

    Peace and love to all,
    Dinos

  3. Thank you Rae!

If I am wise, it’s a gift from God, and it is limited by my humanity, while God’s wisdom is infinite.

You may like another quote from China, although I’ve forgotten who said it –

There’s no shame in not knowing; the shame is in not bothering to find out.

  4. …..and the inevitable truth is that those (born again Christians) who use God’s gifts well will be given eternal rewards. It’s absolutely correct to give it back to Jesus. Amen!

My gift from God is singing and my prayer is that I learn to use it to the fullest and the best that I can.
    Music for me speaks everything!

  6. Dr. Leo Buscaglia understood the power of love. He used his family life to share the values of love, forgiveness, and acceptance. I imagine his PBS presentations can be found on YouTube. He was a gentle soul and good man. Thanks for sharing his quote. Ray
