  1. Daniel Peterson says:

This verse came in handy in a battle four days ago. Some people use the name of God without making the effort to know what they are saying. They forget that faith is effort. Faith is akin to war, sometimes day and night.

  2. Food for thought: This same passage can have an alternative meaning if you read the Bible as though it is really an allegory about you and not the people of the stories. You are the world of creation and your higher reasoning plays the god of the inner world that rewards you with the ultimate state of wholeness and peace through establishing universal truth.
    Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
    Hebrews 11:6 (Alternate translation)
Moreover, apart from believing, it is impossible to be pleased with a thing, therefor to draw closer to the higher understanding you must believe because it also becomes the rewarder to those that diligently seeks the self
    Hebrews 11:6 (Transliteration)
If you can’t believe, it is impossible to find confidence in anything, therefore to grow closer to the higher understanding you must believe that it will bring you the desired results you seek.
